MILITARY/INFO STRATAGEMS OF WAR

Hannibal Tricked?: The Ancient Romans once trapped their great enemy Hannibal in a valley, by having a guide mislead him. Hannibal executed the guide, then tied torches to the horns the cattle in the herd he had with him. In the dead of night lit the torches and stampeded the cattle right through the surprised Roman lines. Hannibal then used the confusion to escaped.  --  [Comment: Two can play at the game of Stratagems.]

Notes: What is a Stratagem? It comes from "Stragetos" the Greek word general. It is the art of generalship. A grab bag of handy tricks passed down though the ages for generals to use.
